The Sassenach 1767 long sleeve brings those two worlds together in a design inspired by the journey from Scotland to Fraser’s Ridge. Across the back, bold NC lettering holds a Blue Ridge mountain landscape, while tartan, stonework and Scottish thistle surround the familiar word Sassenach and the year 1767—a nod to the world that Jamie and Claire Fraser made their home in the Carolina backcountry.
And Sassenach? It’s the Scots Gaelic word traditionally used for an English person or outsider—but for Outlander fans, it means something much more personal. It’s Jamie’s enduring name for Claire, turning a word for an outsider into one filled with affection, belonging and home.
The coordinating left-chest design carries a quieter piece of the story: Sassenach, the 1767 wooden plaque and Scottish thistle, pulled directly from the character of the larger back artwork.
