Sassenach is a Scots Gaelic word traditionally used for an English person or outsider—but for Outlander fans, it carries a much warmer meaning. It’s the name Jamie Fraser uses for Claire: teasing at first, then unmistakably affectionate, and eventually a word that belongs uniquely to the two of them.
Our Just Call Me Sassenach Tee takes that familiar word and gives it a distinctly Heathered Ridge look.
Across the back, JUST CALL ME SASSENACH is surrounded by a lush arrangement of Scottish thistle and heather, rendered in deep plum, forest green and warm cream with the character of an old botanical illustration. A coordinating Sassenach, thistle & heather design on the left chest gives the front its own beautiful detail rather than leaving it plain.
The result feels a little Scottish, a little Appalachian, a little vintage—and very much at home from the Highlands of Scotland to the Highlands of North Carolina.
